Outreach Programmes
Our main Outreach Programmes are:
Village Centre Community Fridge & Kitchen
The Village Centre Community Fridge is open to everyone. It is open for business on a Monday & Friday morning, from 9am till 11am.
Community Fridges are social sites of food education and sharing making fresh food that would otherwise be wasted freely available to the community. Surplus perishable food is collected by our volunteers from local businesses then made available to anyone in the community who would like it. Community Fridges exist to reduce food waste and foster a spirit of sharing and mutual support within a community.
Single portion meals, cooked by volunteers using some of the surplus food, are also available to take away.
For those that are infirm or vulnerable and not able to attend the Fridge, there is a weekly food delivery service on a Tuesday, where meals are delivered directly to peoples homes.
There is no charge for this service and no referral is required. You are welcome to make a pay as you feel donation for your items but this is not essential.
The Community Fridge is about giving and receiving, therefore you are able to give your own surplus food. All items given to the Community Fridge must be within their Use By date but can be dated after the Best Before date.

Englefield Green Child Contact Centre
The Centre, which is open on the first and third Saturday of every month from 2pm till 4pm, provides facilities for children to meet with the parent with whom they no longer live due to family break down. The aim is to provide a warm, friendly, toy-filled neutral meeting place where contact can take place during what can be a very emotional period.
All families are asked to complete a referral form and attend a pre-visit meeting prior to attending the contact centre.
There is no charge for this service.

Baby Basics project
Baby Basics provides much needed essentials and equipment to mothers and families who are unable to provide these items for themselves; including but not limited to teenage mums, people seeking asylum and women fleeing domestic abuse and trafficking.
Working with midwives, health visitors and other professional groups to provide support directly where it is most needed, Baby Basics volunteers lovingly collect, sort and package a 'Moses Basket' of clothing, toiletries and essential baby equipment as an attractive gift to new mothers.
